Diddy’s Projected Prison Stay Grows By 27 Days

Diddy’s release date has slipped back into February, wiping out the January break after his prison fight.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons now lists February 20, 2028, as Diddy’s release date, according to records. The new date reverses a short-lived move to January 24, 2028, adding 27 days to his prison stay.
AllHipHop reported last week that his projected exit had moved from February 23 to January 24.
The bureau has not explained either adjustment, and former warden Dr. DeWayne Hendrix cautioned against connecting the discipline to Diddy’s added time.
“Prior to this incident, Sean Combs appeared to be making positive institutional progress, with reports of good adjustment and programming participation reflected in changes to his projected release date,” Hendrix said. “Until the Bureau of Prisons provides details about what occurred, it’s impossible to know whether this was an isolated disciplinary issue or something more serious.”
The July confrontation began after another prisoner made a remark to Diddy, ABC News reported, citing an unnamed source.
Witness accounts described shoving and punches before officers separated both inmates and moved Diddy into solitary confinement.
AllHipHop’s initial account said reporter Loren Lorosa heard Diddy choke the other prisoner, though officials never confirmed that claim.
The episode became Diddy’s first reported physical confrontation in custody, although longtime friend Charlucci Finney reported an earlier MDC weapon threat.
“He woke up with a knife to his throat. I don’t know whether he fought him off or the guards came, I just know that it happened. If this guy had wanted to harm him, Sean would have been harmed,” Finney said.
Former MDC inmate Raymond Castillo later disputed that version and said he stopped an armed prisoner before the chair dispute became violent.
“He was persistent. He wanted the chair that Diddy was sitting in. Diddy told the guy, ‘Yo, homeboy, why are you bothering me when I am watching TV and this chair doesn’t belong to anybody. Why are you worried about this specific chair?’” Castillo recalled.
Diddy is serving 50 months after jurors convicted him on two prostitution transportation counts while acquitting him of racketeering and sex trafficking.
The Second Circuit has not ruled on Diddy’s pending appeal after hearing arguments over his conviction and sentence on April 9.
