50 Cent Gets Thanked By Man Accused Of Attacking Rick Ross’ Son

50 Cent got a public thank-you from the man accused of attacking Rick Ross’ son. His support for the accused had already drawn an angry response from the young man’s mother, Tia Kemp.

In the reel 50 shared on October 21, the man said:

“I appreciate everybody who believed in me, my family and my friends. I’m innocent. The Lord know I’m innocent. 50, I appreciate you for everything you’re doing for me and believing in my innocence.”

“I had a strong feeling this brother was innocent,” 50 wrote in the caption.

50 had previously offered to cover bond for the suspect. The man’s statement did not identify a payment or explain what help 50 had provided.

The dispute began with 50 mocking the news that Ross’ son had gone to police. His post suggested Ross might have made that call for him, but the police account identifies Ross’ son as the person who reported the incident.

Kemp, who shares William Roberts III with Ross, lashed out after 50 made that offer and asked for the suspect’s name, AllHipHop reported on October 21. “U have NO room to post anyone’s child,” she wrote. Her response then targeted his son Sire and Sire’s mother, Daphne Joy.

50 answered with a photo from a 2009 Smooth magazine shoot that featured him and Kemp together. Along with the image, he taunted Kemp and used the same response to promote his movie.

“Damn Tia you sound tougher than ya boy, I ain’t got time to argue with you,” he wrote.

Kemp also accused 50 of a double standard over bringing children into their dispute. She argued that he wanted boundaries for his own family while making other people’s children targets for his public attacks.

Her comments concerned 50’s earlier posts, not the man’s statement of innocence in the reel.

In its October 20 report on the case, AllHipHop said Ross’ son told police a man threatened him and struck him with a gun in Daytona Beach on October 11. The accused man was charged with aggravated assault and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
