A$AP Rocky Says His Kids Still Have Rihanna’s Fame To Discover

A$AP Rocky said his children were starting to see their dad perform onstage, but he thought a bigger surprise about Rihanna still awaited them.
The rapper revisited son Riot’s Copenhagen stage appearance in a new Rolling Stone interview. He called the 3-year-old the most outgoing of his siblings and said Riot had asked if his father sang and had also asked A$AP Twelvyy if he made music.
“But I’m like, wait till they get a load of mom, wait till they even realize who their mother is,” he said.
That marked a change from his account in GQ last year. He said RZA and Riot favored children’s songs and did not yet understand their parents’ jobs. They could play his music if they wanted, but had not asked for either parent’s records. He expected questions about his work within a year or two.
The September 18 stop at Copenhagen’s Royal Arena gave Riot a close look at his father’s show. As AllHipHop previously reported, Rihanna brought their son onstage during “Lord Pretty Flacko Jodye 2.” Riot used the megaphone and then shared a fist bump with Rocky.
Rocky’s European run ended in Athens. From Paris, he said the trip had left him a bit homesick.
The boy’s ease in front of a crowd fit a pattern Rocky had described in 2024. He told W that RZA was more reserved, like him, while Riot took after his mother’s outgoing side.
That interview also showed what work had cost him at home. Rocky said he sometimes came back after the boys were asleep and left before they woke. He said fatherhood had changed his schedule and the music that inspired him.
Rihanna had described the same pull between work and family in Harper’s Bazaar last year. She said her sons shaped every choice she made. But doing the work she loved meant time away from them.
She described guilt about showing up for one part of her life while another suffered. She wanted to feel fulfilled when she showed up for her work, and she also wanted to lose the guilt that came with trying to balance it all.
