Alaska Gets The Druski Treatment: Coulda Been Records Auditions Roast Crime Stats & Talent

Druski took his Coulda Been Records audition show to Anchorage, Alaska, and the result was a wild 45-minute comedy special filled with satirical skits, genuine talent, and hilarious commentary on the Last Frontier’s reputation.

The comedian and content creator hosted a series of auditions in Alaska’s largest city, interviewing performers and community members while poking fun at the state’s unique characteristics.

From the midnight sun that never sets in summer to Alaska’s complicated crime statistics, Druski didn’t hold back on the jokes.

One of the running themes throughout the auditions was Alaska’s crime rate, which consistently ranks as one of the United States’ most violent states.

The auditions featured a mix of performers with varying levels of talent. Some came ready to showcase their skills, while others became the punchline of Druski’s comedy.

One young performer named Cyrus, who was only eight years old, auditioned with what he called a “hidden talent” involving his tongue. Druski wasn’t impressed and gave the kid some real talk about finding a trade or joining the military.

“You going to find a trade or you going to go to the military? You go to the military, you get your ass blown off,” Druski told the child, then signed him up for the Navy SEALs as a joke.

Another segment involved Druski asking community members about the city’s reputation.

When one local tried to claim that criminals in Alaska looked like Druski, security immediately removed him for what Druski called “racism.” The bit highlighted how Druski uses comedy to address serious topics while keeping things light.

The midnight sun became a recurring joke throughout the special.

With the sun still up at 10 P.M., Druski pointed out why nobody in Alaska goes home during summer.

“The sun ain’t went down yet. It’s 10:00 p.m. at night. It looked like 2:00 p.m. This why ain’t nobody going home right here,” he said.

One of the more memorable auditions came from a rapper with a whisper flow that impressed Druski.

The artist performed bars about his life and struggles, and despite the low volume, which made them hard to hear, Druski recognized the talent.

“This hard, bro. I can’t even hear what you saying. I swear to God, but this hard as a person. I ain’t never heard a flow like yours. I’mma sign you, bro,” Druski said.

The special wrapped up with Druski reflecting on his time in Alaska.

“We came to Alaska. It’s one of the greatest places in America. I’m lying. This place sucks. But I’m glad we came and there’s good people everywhere we go,” he said, summing up the experience perfectly.
