An antecedent report has been requested for a St Catherine man who was allegedly held with several rounds of ammunition in his pocket. It happened on Friday when Calvin Cottrell, 31, appeared in the St Catherine Parish Court. Cottrell is charged with unauthorised possession of ammunition. His attorney Shadae Bailey signalled her intention to apply for bail, but prosecutors objected, arguing that Cottrell resides in a community where gun crimes are rife and, as a result, more information about him was required.
