Arthur Neptune demonstrable ignorance harmful to SLP

Dear Sir,

An acolyte of the Saint Lucia Labour Party (SLP), Arthur Neptune, on September 6, 2026, wrangles his unsophisticated brain matter with the question: “Is Prime Minister Philip J Pierre contributing to the silencing of Richard Frederick?”

Comrade Neptune, in his demonstration of ignorance on the subject matter, is doing more harm to the SLP. And is best guided to chill in the interest of the Party and external monitoring authorities. His attempted directives to Prime Minister Pierre are unwarranted, stupendous and illogical.

Comrade Neptune, in his Sunday morning epistle, correlates the need for his re-education of battered brain matter. His assertion lacks the fusion of decorum and simple execution of business, modern politics, professional ethics, and the rule of law.

Should comrade Neptune care to be adequately elucidated, the difficulty lies here.

“Last week, the Allen Chastanet-led UWP achieved something they have been trying to accomplish for the past ten years,” Arthur Neptune laments.

  • This is gibberish – to ponder that “UWP achieved something.” In fact, Chastanet is a loser in his own political party and is awaiting his dishonourable exit!

Neptune’s distortion reverberates a fallacy.

“Ironically, however, the muzzle was not placed on Richard Frederick by Allen Chastanet and his political followers. It was placed there by none other than the Prime Minister of Saint Lucia, Philip J. Pierre.”

  • Prime Minister Pierre was required by his executive authority and statute to execute established professionalism, ethics, and executive authority as required by statute, and subject to the rule of law.

Neptune’s erroneous fantasy expressed:

“Police Commissioner Vern Guarde finally dashed the hopes of the desperate UWP mob when he declared that there was insufficient evidence to pursue the allegations against minister Richard Frederick.

“Minister Frederick was therefore expected to return to work on August 28, 2026, following his vacation leave.”

  • Police Commissioner Guarde has no jurisdiction in his assertions of “not sustained”! He is absolutely out of his wits and fancy, and unfit to be police commissioner.
  • The assertion that “minister Frederick was therefore expected to return to work on August 28, 2026,” was absolutely delusional, stupendous and illogical to professional ethics and executive authority.
  • The “expected to return to work on August 28, 2026,” demonstrates ignorance of the exhibitors that expected such a return to business and politics as usual.
  • The damage was already done, with the exploits extended for repairing a situation that COULD have been dealt with – QUICKLY– and in many ways … however, nosedived into pig-headedness and the fallacy of the influence of power led to a rabbit hole.
  • The phrase coined by James Carville in 1992, “The economy, stupid,” extends to matters beyond this “surface rebuttal.”

“The Prime Minister delivered a political bombshell by asking minister Frederick to proceed on administrative leave,” said Neptune.

  • The Prime Minister performed a humble and predictable executive decision.
  • In fact, acolytes and simplitons of no executive or global view (Arthur Neptune) should be content that Prime Minister Pierre exercised tremendous restraint and did not go the full distance. But that’s for another show!

“ But here is my problem with Prime Minister’s handling of this matter,” Arthur Neptune says.

“Why was minister Frederick sent on administrative leave? The Prime Minister says it was necessary to ensure transparency while the audit is underway. I must confess that I find this rationale difficult to understand.”

“I must say that my disappointment with the Prime Minister’s handling of this matter is difficult to overstate. In my view, his decision has effectively handed the UWP a victory in its longstanding campaign against Richard Frederick.

“The Prime Minister should remember that, prior to the 2021 general election, Richard Frederick took the fight to the then-ruling UWP and contributed significantly to the SLP’s landslide 15–2 victory at the polls.

“He again played a significant role in ensuring that the UWP remained in opposition following the December 2025 election. It should therefore come as no surprise that the UWP’s campaign against him intensified, given the threat they understood he posed to their chances of returning to office.”

  • Comrade Arthur Neptune is conflicted in understanding the separate issues of politics, professional decorum in public life, and Prime Minister Pierre’s executive responsibility.

Comrade Arthur Neptune stated: “ And here is the painfully obvious inconsistency,” relative to matters about Ernest Hilaire and Shawn Edward.”

  • Collectively, this navigates the comrade’s abstract lack of depth and knowledge in distinctive matters of diplomatic governance, statutory application and the indulgence of executive statutes.

In closing, comrade Neptune has endeavoured to appeal directly to Prime Minister Pierre to “restore (former) minister Richard Frederick to his ministerial responsibilities.”

Nepture’s demonstratable ignorance that is harmful to the SLP continues down a cottontail:

“Your decision, [Prime Minister Pierre], in my view, is doing more than anything Allen Chastanet could have done to create further doubt and speculation surrounding the minister.”

  • It is odd to compare Allen Chastanet and Prime Minister Pierre and reference them in the same sentence. Meanwhile, the comrade acolyte seeks to direct Prime Minister Pierre, clandestinely: “ You have been given a mandate to govern, and I believe you have been doing a commendable job.”

Okay, so why pitch public irresponsibly against Prime Minister Pierre’s rightful executive decision that is ABSOLUTELY correct within statutes, notwithstanding that he has the final card to play at the right time.

But listen up to Neptune’s conclusion:

“I therefore implore you, Sir, to get on with the important work of governing this country and ignore the political noise coming from Allen Chastanet and the United Workers Party (UWP). … struggling to preserve his political relevance and will ultimately face challenges from within his own camp. Prime Minister Pierre, do not give him that relevance.”

Neptune’s political inference advises Prime Minister Pierre as follows:

“Do not allow the UWP’s relentless campaign against Richard Frederick and your government to influence the decisions of the SLP administration.”

Comrade Neptune’s relentless ignorance, harmful to the SLP, recites mindlessly:

“Restore Richard Frederick. Let the (SSDF) audit take its course. Let the facts speak for themselves. And let justice, transparency and consistency prevail!”

In the interest of “our great party,” comrade Neptune is reckless with his assertions and directives to Prime Minister Pierre. And in the interest of public education, modern political science and affluence, comrade Neptune should consider a re-education exercise.

I, therefore, submit that without Prime Minister, Philip J Pierre there is – NO SLP!

Beyond this, really, is dotish of anyone!

Sincerely,

Arianna Philips
