Azealia Banks Moves To Israel & Has Words For Americans

Azealia Banks moving to Tel Aviv is actually something many might celebrate. 2026 has so many plot twists of 2026.

The Harlem rapper revealed that she has relocated to Israel and, apparently, she is loving it. Banks showed off her new surroundings on social media and admitted that even she never imagined this particular chapter.

“Moving in…If you would have told me years ago id end up moving to Tel Aviv and liking it, I would have said youre crazy,” she said.

And this is apparently much bigger than changing addresses. Azealia says Tel Aviv has unlocked something creatively that she has been missing for years.

“Im 5 hours away and here making my album FINALLY. I found some real camaraderie and some really cool music crew here and its ironically just been easier to create here because Israel’s arts scene is really mature,” she wrote.

A-Banks has never exactly been known for avoiding conflict. Controversy locates her with Waze-accuracy. See what I did there? But she says her new creative circle does not care about agreeing with everything she says.

“People arent witholding stems and holding grudges about social issues and it’s freeing. Everyone in Israel thinks my political opinions fµck!ng suck and think i have trash taste in men but no one is trying to sabotage me for that.. This is the most creatively enabled ive felt in years.” There is history here.

After performing at Tel Aviv’s Barby nightclub in 2018, Banks complained about treatment she said she experienced in Israel. Then, she said she would not return. She eventually did return for additional performances. What changed? Hmmmmm…

This relocation is fascinating. If you care.

Banks is scheduled to perform at the Tel Aviv Amphitheater on tomorrow – October 8, and she is apparently planting roots. She’s back to making music and entering another chapter of a book I stopped reading a long time ago.

Could Tel Aviv finally be the place where Azealia Banks finishes the album fans have been waiting for?

Well. Y’all tell me in the comments.
