Bail extended for cop charged with ‘Buju’ Bulgin murder
ST JAMES, Jamaica — Police Constable Andrew Wilson, who is charged with the murder of Granville resident Latoya “Buju” Bulgin, had his bail extended when he appeared before the St James Circuit Court on Friday morning. Wilson, who appeared for a case management hearing, is scheduled to return to court on December 4, 2026, for further case management. His legal representatives were absent when the matter was called up. Presiding judge Andrea Pettigrew Collins extended Wilson’s existing bail conditions, which were imposed during his court appearance in July. These include a $1-million bond. Wilson is accused of fatally shooting Bulgin on May 17 while she was seated in a motor vehicle in Granville, St James. He was subsequently arrested and charged with murder following an investigation by the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) and a ruling by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP).
