Birdman & Slim Williams New Orleans Legacy & Cash Money/No Limit Tour

Birdman and Slim Williams explained the importance of the Cash Money and No Limit Tour, which kicked off with back-to-back sold-out shows in Houston and New Orleans.

The culture is responding like this moment matters, because it does.

Two of Hip-Hop’s most dominant forces from the same city, the same era, the same hunger are finally sharing one stage after decades of running parallel empires that never really crossed paths at their peak.

“Bringing our people together on one stage, in front of the fans who rode with us from the beginning is what this is about. We built something that lasted, and this tour is us celebrating that with everybody,” Birdman said.

The New Orleans homecoming at the Superdome crystallized what this reunion actually means. B.G. proposed to his girlfriend Brooke Jones onstage in front of thousands, turning a concert moment into something that’ll get talked about for years.

That’s the energy surrounding this tour. It’s not just nostalgia. It’s legacy meeting love meeting a city that never stopped believing in itself.

Mannie Fresh broke down the real history in a recent interview on Majic 102.1 in Houston.

What looked like beef between Cash Money and No Limit from the outside was actually two hometown teams competing to be the biggest movement coming out of New Orleans.

Behind the scenes, the connection ran deeper. Many of the artists, producers, and people around both labels knew each other long before the fame hit.

“We all came from that music thing,” Fresh said, “but somebody had to pick a side.”

Now, decades later, there are no sides. Just one stage.

Cash Money Records and No Limit Records both emerged from New Orleans in the early 1990s and built massive success on their own.

Cash Money, founded by Birdman and Slim Williams in 1991, dominated with artists like Juvenile, B.G., and Lil Wayne. No Limit, founded by Master P, became a powerhouse with Mystikal, Silkk the Shocker, and later Snoop Dogg.

Both labels reshaped Southern Hip-Hop and influenced the entire industry. Yet despite their proximity and shared city, they operated as separate empires during their most successful years.

This tour represents the first time these two legendary catalogs have united on a major scale.

“New Orleans raised us and Hip-Hop gave us a platform to show the world what we were made of. Putting Cash Money and No Limit on the same stage is bigger than a tour. It’s a tribute to where we come from and everything that city poured into us,” Slim told AllHipHop.

The tour spans 17 cities and features Birdman and Master P as headliners, with the full Cash Money lineup including Juvenile, Mannie Fresh, and B.G. and Boosie Badazz joins select dates as a special guest.

According to the official tour announcement, the remaining dates run through November 15, 2026, hitting major markets from Atlanta to Chicago to Tampa.
