BloodHound Q50 Murder: Internet Detectives Hunt For Clues In Surveillance Footage

BloodHound Q50 is gone, and the aftermath is continuing.

You already know the internet is full of detectives, and right now those detectives are going full steam ahead trying to figure out who murdered BloodHound Q50.

I’m not sure whether we should call this assisting the police, internet sleuthing or just people doing what they always do. But social media users are analyzing everything they can get their hands on.

And there is a LOT to analyze here.

BloodHound Q50, nee Mikquale T. Cooper, was only 22-years old when he was killed early Sunday morning, September 13, at a BP gas station in Chicago. Six gunmen reportedly participated in the ambush, arriving in two vehicles before opening blasting on Q50’s Tesla. He was struck in the chest and shoulder.

Ironically, September 13 is also the anniversary of Tupac Shakur’s death in 1996. Thirty years later, another young rapper was killed by gunfire on the exact same date. Sad.

Q50 openly discussed the possibility that his lifestyle could get him killed. People plead with him. In an interview just last month, he said he wasn’t chasing death, but wasn’t running from it either. He also acknowledged that one mistake could be fatal.

So, let’s get to the internet and their theories. One of the biggest theories involves sneakers.

Social media users claim they located an Instagram account showing someone wearing sneakers similar to those seen on one of the attackers in surveillance footage. They claim the same shoes appeared in posts before the killing and potentially afterward. That has led people to start naming alleged suspects online.

Similar sneakers are not evidence that somebody committed murder. And yet, “YIKES!”

Chicago Police have not publicly identified any suspects, announced any arrests or established a motive. I saw something with Q50 messing with one of the kids of his ops through a baby moms. That certainly would set somebody off.

Then there is the surveillance footage.

One of the masked attackers looked directly toward a surveillance camera, and there are visible physical characteristics. We know they have CSI-level facial-recognition laboratories for this! From their phones, the internet thinks they figured it out. dentifying a masked individual from surveillance footage can be extremely difficult, but facial recognition is serious.

Clothing, sneakers, body types, social media posts and timelines are all being analyzed. Some internet users are even suggesting that certain people repeatedly wore the same clothes or shoes, making them easier to identify.

The six attackers were allegedly paid $50,000 for the killing. We’re keeping that firmly in the RUMOR category, but I would not be shocked if there was facts behind it. If $50,000 were divided evenly among six people, that would be about $8,333 each.

Eight stacks to throw your entire life away? Come on.

And here’s another thing. Six alleged participants means six potential points where an investigation could break open. Police don’t necessarily need everybody to cooperate. Investigators can potentially build cases through surveillance footage, phones, vehicles, witnesses, social media records and other evidence.

And yes, somebody could eventually start talking.

That’s why having six people allegedly involved seems like a lot of moving parts.

But I’m not putting anybody’s name in this story. I’m definitely not accusing anybody of murder based on some sneakers, an Instagram post or somebody’s theory on Reddit.

As of September 15, Chicago Police have publicly announced no arrests and no identified suspects in BloodHound Q50’s killing. The investigation remains active.
