BMF Actor Da’Vinchi Loses Half A Million Followers?

Da’Vinchi may have lost 200,000-500,000 followers after his comments about Black Americans exploded online, but the disappearing followers might be the least of his problems. He may be American Blackballed! We’ll get into that shortly.

Reports claim Da’Vinchi’s Instagram following dropped from approximately 2.1 million to around 1.9 million as people reacted to his controversial appearance on Cam Newton’s “Funky Friday.” Now, if we begin counting the other platforms, that number jumps higher. The exact number is difficult to verify because social media follower counts are all over the place. I saw YoTbe for example was declining fast.

The exodus is real.

Da’Vinchi caught heat after saying Americans had become increasingly incompetent and discussing why overseas Black actors might be viewed as more focused than their American counterparts. It seemed like he was talking from others’ perspectives. Then, he kept talking…

Da’Vinchi, who starred on 50 Cent‘s BMF show, realized his words were landing like a plane with no wings. He wrote, “You’re not, I’m sorry you felt like it was you. It was a generalized statement. I should’ve been more specific. Love you, queen” to somebody that was offended

Fair enough.

But then more clips started circulating. Most of us have not seen the full interview and I do not think we need it at this point.

Actor and artist Brandon Brown, who says he was formerly friends with Da’Vinchi, publicly accused him of having an “anti-Black” attitude years before becoming famous. Brown alleged Da’Vinchi would distance himself from Black identity by emphasizing that he was Haitian.

Anyway, back to the basics. I am hearing from some of my people from the Hollywood side. And they are very pissed. They are saying that D, real name Abraham D. Juste, might want to start over with his original name. He’s looking at a tough road in this acting game. Some have said they are going to intentional see he does not get work.

I still think portions of Da’Vinchi’s original remarks MAY have been flattened by social media. Also that’s the ball. At times it bounces and other times…it’s flat. I do not think he can act his way out of this one.
