Boosie Badazz Performs “Set It Off” Outside White House In Surprise Appearance

Boosie Badazz turned the area outside the White House into his own concert spot, performing “Set It Off” near President Donald Trump’s residence.

The Baton Rouge rapper gave people walking through Washington, D.C., an unexpected show Friday (October 9), with video of the performance spreading online.

Footage shared by The DMV Live shows Boosie performing his signature street anthem as a small crowd gathers near the nation’s most famous address.

The performance came one day after Boosie appeared at Capital One Arena for the Cash Money & No Limit Tour.

But his choice of location carries extra meaning because Boosie has been trying to get Trump to grant him a presidential pardon.

The rapper has spent months fighting two political operatives he claims took $600,000 from him while promising access to presidential clemency.

Boosie sued Jack Burkman and Jacob Wohl after the pair allegedly failed to deliver the pardon he sought for his federal gun conviction.

His contract called for a $300,000 refund if the pardon never came, but the two men have disputed the agreement’s validity.

During a September appearance on CBS’ 60 Minutes, Boosie explained why he trusted their promises and handed over the money.

“This is what I was led to believe if you come with this money, you will get a pardon,” Boosie told Lesley Stahl.

When asked about his payment, Boosie answered, “$600K. Yeah.”

He also described how the brokers’ claims of powerful political connections influenced his decision to trust their expensive offer.

“I just thought, I mean, ‘This is the way it’s done.’ I’m paying these guys, you know? And they’re gonna make it happen.”

The rapper became angry when the promised pardon failed to arrive and the dispute moved into court.

“I said, ‘Just return it. You didn’t give me my pardon.’ It’s a bunch of BS. And they were so cocky.”

CBS reported that people the brokers claimed to know denied involvement in Boosie’s pardon effort.

The White House performance has not been confirmed as a political protest or another public appeal to Trump.

Boosie’s next scheduled concert is Saturday (October 10) at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina.
