Caleb Williams Gives Drake Ten Spots On His “Madden NFL 27” Playlist

Caleb Williams gave Drake ten spots on his “Madden NFL 27 Iceman Edition” playlist, including solo records and guest features.

The Chicago Bears quarterback picked 67 songs for the collection. Apple Music credited Williams as its curator and listed a running time of 3 hours and 43 minutes.

The list opened with Drake’s “Shabang.” Williams also chose “Draft Day,” “Charged Up” and “30 for 30 Freestyle.”

The selections reached beyond Drake’s own releases. His features on Yeat’s “Miss My Dawg,” Future’s “Never Satisfied” and J Hus’ “Who Told You” made the cut, too.

“Chicago Freestyle” with GIVĒON, “6 Man” and “Firm Friends” rounded out the ten Drake-credited selections.

Williams also picked Chance the Rapper’s “No Problem,” with Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz, and Lupe Fiasco’s “Superstar.” Ravyn Lenae’s “Love Me Not” and Leon Thomas’ “Just How You Are” were among the R&B selections.

The Weeknd, Playboi Carti, Lil Durk and Don Toliver also appeared in Apple’s featured-artist list, alongside The White Stripes and Shaboozey.

EA Sports announced the playlist on October 21. Williams is the game’s cover star.

The official Madden NFL account promoted the collection with a short Instagram caption: “Curated by Iceman. Featuring Iceman.” The post directed listeners to Apple Music and described the music as a soundtrack drop.

The nickname also ran through Williams’ Madden cover campaign. The Bears’ behind-the-scenes account said he had earned “Iceman” through his late comeback wins. EA’s creative team built one of its cover concepts around that identity, while the main cover showed his jump throw.

EA Sports creative director Josh Kline said the team began with what made each player different. Williams’ concepts drew on Chicago, his signature moves and Iceman persona. The campaign also used personal touches such as his wired headphones and painted nails.

Williams became the first Bears player on Madden’s main cover. Former Chicago offensive lineman Roberto Garza had appeared on “Madden NFL 09 en Español.” Williams recalled spending hours playing Madden and building his own teams as a child, calling his selection as cover athlete “a dream come true.”

The full collection is available on Apple Music.
