Cardi B Blames Unfinished Arrangements For Jamaica Show Cancellation

Cardi B has pulled out of her Jamaica stadium show, saying unfinished arrangements forced her to cancel despite repeated efforts to make the date work.
The Bronx rapper addressed the decision in a video, a day after her representatives confirmed she would miss BZR WKND. She had been booked to headline “Cardi B & Friends” at Kingston’s National Stadium on October 18.
Cardi said contracts kept her from explaining the full dispute.
“I tried my best, I waited for things to get in place and together but it didn’t. I can’t talk. I can’t talk due to contracts. But just know, it wasn’t me. I waited this long, I was trying to give chances. I don’t want to say much. I wish I could come.”
She rejected claims that weak ticket sales drove the move. Cardi said she had heard more than 18,000 tickets had sold. That figure reflects what she was told, not a confirmed sales total from the promoter.
The trip would have been more than a work stop. Cardi said she planned to stay on the island with friends and family after the show. She also said she still hopes to perform for her fans in Jamaica one day.
BZR WKND’s management team asked patrons for patience as it worked through the change.
“We understand the excitement and anticipation surrounding this event, and we recognise that fans and ticket holders are looking for clarity,” the team said.
The statement promised an official update once more details were confirmed. It did not spell out a refund plan or name a replacement headliner. Cardi’s representatives had directed ticketing and event questions to the organizers when they announced her withdrawal.
The cancellation reverses a booking promoted for months as Cardi’s Jamaican debut. The Gleaner reported that her manager, Kelvin Santiago, attended the August media launch at AC Hotel Kingston. The bill later added Keyshia Cole, with Spice named host.
Santiago told the newspaper at that launch, “She’s very excited. It’s her first stadium show that she’s ever done and her first show here. So, we’re excited. Can’t wait.”
Promoter Gramps Morgan had promised production on par with the festival’s previous staging, which featured Chris Brown.
AllHipHop’s earlier coverage placed the date after Cardi’s Little Miss Drama Tour. That run grossed $70 million and sold 453,000 tickets across 35 shows.
Her representatives said Cardi’s official channels would announce future performances exclusively.
