Cardi B Confirms New Album Plans For 2027

Cardi B apparently caught the album bug again!

The BX bomber says another project is coming in 2027 and she is definitely not making fans wait another eight years. Aye!

That is a pretty significant declaration from Cardi, considering the marathon between 2018’s Invasion of Privacy and 2025’s Am I the Drama? Fans spent years asking when album number two was coming. Now Cardi sounds determined to make album number three a much quicker affair.

Speaking backstage with “The Breakfast Club” at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, Cardi revealed that she plans to disappear into recording mode later this year.

“I am doing a new album. And after November, after my birthday, I’m shifting myself away just to record,” she said.

Charlamagne Tha God asked the question everybody was thinking. Are we about to wait another eight years?

“Nope.”

Short, sweet and probably music to the ears of the Bardi Gang.

Cardi admitted she is still in the embryonic stages of the project. She has recorded two songs she likes, but acknowledged she has a “long way to go.” Still, she seems unusually certain about the timetable and says the album is coming in 2027.

“I’m not even playing around,” Cardi said. “I just got this confidence.”

And maybe that confidence is the real story.

Cardi has already returned to the rhythm of being a working recording artist. After “Am I the Drama?” arrived last September, she hit the road for the 35 date Little Miss Drama Tour from February through April. Then came “AH HA” in July, which climbed to No. 3 on Billboard’s US Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.

She has also been navigating motherhood after welcoming her fourth child, so Cardi certainly has plenty happening outside the booth.

But perhaps the eight year drought taught her something. Sometimes waiting for everything to be perfect can become its own prison.

Two songs obviously do not make an album. But Cardi B saying 2027 out loud creates expectations.

Now the clock is ticking.
