Cardi B Found Missing Birkin Esmeralda After Studio Tip

Cardi B said last week that she found Esmeralda, the Hermès Birkin she feared she had left at a hotel. Her update pointed to a studio.
“UPDATE!! I found her!!!!” she wrote on X, quoting her earlier post about the lost bag.
A screenshot of a text exchange supplied the clue. “It’s in Kollin’s studio,” one message read. Cardi expressed relief in her reply. The other person said the bag should still be there and offered to bring it next time.
She had shared the loss with fans a day earlier. A fan had asked her to bring Esmeralda back out. In that post, the fan shared an old clip of the brown leather purse. Cardi responded that she had lost it and thought she might have left it behind at a hotel.
She described Esmeralda as the only bag she could not find and said she felt sad about the loss. AllHipHop’s earlier report covered that exchange. Her follow-up gave fans a far more hopeful account of where the bag had ended up.
Her love of rare bags had sent her on long hunts before. In a July 2023 Vogue feature, she joked that buying a bag had brought her to Paris while she attended the couture shows.
“I really came here to buy a Birkin bag,” she said. She added that she had spent two months hunting for one she could not find in the United States.
Her taste for those pieces also led to a business deal. Fashionphile named her its 2026 global brand ambassador on May 20. Its “Get Your Bag” campaign featured Cardi with pre-owned luxury accessories and paired shopping with resale.
She also chose a group of bags and other accessories from Hermès, Chanel and Goyard for the site. The company shot the campaign in New York City. It used both photos and video.
Sarah Davis, Fashionphile’s founder and president, said the rapper understood the value of those pieces. She said Cardi could help change how people thought about resale.
“I love a good bag, but I love a smart buy too,” Cardi said in the launch announcement.
