Cardi B & Offset Celebrate Wave’s 5th Birthday Despite Bitter Divorce

Cardi B and Offset showed up Saturday to celebrate their son Wave’s fifth birthday and daughter Blossom’s second birthday, putting their legal battle on hold for one day.

The estranged couple threw a massive joint party complete with Disney and Sonic the Hedgehog decorations, carnival games, balloon arches, and an open bar that kept guests entertained all afternoon.

Cardi dressed as Minnie Mouse while Offset captured video of Wave dancing with cotton candy in hand, both parents posting content from the bash on social media without appearing together in any shots.

A Chipotle stand at the party became the highlight when Cardi joked about wanting one at her wedding, then added, “I ain’t getting married no time soon,” so the kids got it instead.

This marks the second consecutive year they’ve reunited for Wave’s birthday despite their ongoing divorce proceedings.

Cardi and Offset remain legally married even though she filed for divorce for the second time in August 2024, with Offset requesting joint custody of their three children.

Their relationship began in early 2017, when they started dating, followed by a secret marriage in September 2017. Together, they share three kids: Kulture Kiari Cephus, who’s eight years old, Wave Set Cephus, who’s five, and Blossom, who’s two.

The marriage has been anything but smooth sailing, with Cardi publicly expressing her frustration about the divorce process.

She’s stated that Offset is “going to do everything earthly possible” to make her as miserable as possible and that he’s dragging out proceedings while demanding millions and property, which he denied.

After her split from Offset, Cardi moved on with NFL player Stephon Diggs, with their relationship becoming public in June 2025.

They welcomed a baby boy together in November 2025, but the relationship hit rough waters in early 2026 after things got “too heated and complicated.”

Split rumors circulated around Super Bowl LX in February 2026, though the couple has since reconciled and been spotted together at her Little Miss Drama tour in April 2026.

Meanwhile, Cardi’s career has been on an absolute tear since leaving Offset.

Her second album, Am I the Drama? dropped September 19, 2025, and has sold over 4.6 million units.

She’s embarked on her first all-arena headlining tour in 2026, which took in over $70 million, and her haircare line “Grow Good” has crossed $40 million in sales.

Offset’s situation has been the complete opposite, with the rapper facing over $2.3 million in unpaid taxes from the IRS and Georgia Department of Revenue.

He paid off a $1.5 million tax debt in December 2025 but still owes approximately $1.9 million. He’s also facing casino lawsuits and other financial claims that continue to mount.

What stands out most is that despite all the personal chaos, Cardi and Offset managed to create a beautiful day for their children without letting their problems interfere with the celebration.

The fact that they can set aside their differences for their kids’ happiness shows real maturity and a commitment to successful co-parenting.
