Cardi B’s Grow-Good Takes Over NYC Salon For Custom Curl Treatments

Cardi B‘s Grow-Good brought its haircare line into a New York salon for a day, offering treatments tailored to guests’ hair needs. The brand took over JENNA’s on 9th.

Guests received appointments tailored to their hair texture and concerns.

Cardi had spent years showing fans her natural hair routines and homemade treatments before she had products on store shelves. Her own hair masks helped spark the brand idea.

Revolve, the fashion retailer, partnered with Cardi on Grow-Good through a joint venture. Revolve told investors that Grow-Good held a presale in March before its formal April launch.

The company said every product sold out in less than an hour at both launches. Its promotion included Cardi’s North American tour, social media and Revolve Festival. Revolve also said it was increasing its investment in the joint venture.

The salon event came during a week when Grow-Good also moved into local beauty supply stores.

Its first New York shops were Beautify Beauty Supply in Harlem and Solea in the Bronx. The brand had also announced four more stores in Atlanta, Chicago, Houston and Los Angeles for October 23.

The current collection has six products, with shampoos and conditioners offered in two versions each. On the Grow-Good site, Wash Cycle Repair Shampoo and Soft Serve Repair Conditioner cost $14.99 each.

The brand sells their added “+” versions at the same price and markets them for hair that needs more moisture. Everything Serum costs $17.99, while the Get Rich Hydrating Mask is $19.99.
