Claressa Shields Claims She Witnessed Gervonta Davis Assault A Woman

Claressa Shields has turned an unsolicited fashion critique from Gervonta Davis into a confrontation that has gotten considerably uglier than anything hanging in a closet.
Here’s how we got here. Tank mocked the outfit Claressa wore to her Atlanta music event, posting footage and telling her, “@claressashields you look a hot ass mess..” Apparently, the lightweight boxer had some heavyweight opinions about that jumpsuit.
Papoose defended his girlfriend by mocking Davis’ performance against Lamont Roach. Davis subsequently threatened to put the rapper to sleep.
That brought a Hip-Hop relationship squarely into a boxing dispute, with everybody apparently comfortable throwing verbal punches outside their usual weight class.
Claressa also retaliated with an AI image depicting Davis wearing a version of her outfit. She accused him of selectively sharing a text exchange and made clear that neither she nor Papoose considered him a friend. The wardrobe argument had officially become personal.

Now, in the circulating remarks you shared, Shields goes considerably further:
“I know so much stuff about lil dawg, I don’t say nothing… He wanna be a girl so bad. We not gonna judge you, just come out and do it.
He’s a woman beater. Tank beat a b#### up in my face at a basketball game. I sat on that sh*t for years and never said nothing.”
Those are Shields’ allegations. Her claim that she personally witnessed an assault has not been independently established in the sources reviewed. Her comments about Davis’ gender expression also establish nothing about his identity or sexuality.
And that is where the tone changes. An outfit can inspire jokes. An allegation of violence against a woman deserves scrutiny, particularly when somebody claims to have witnessed it firsthand.
Damn, this is nasty across the board.
