Construction worker charged with murder
KINGSTON, Jamaica — A 30-year-old  construction worker has been charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon following a fatal stabbing  in Duhaney Park, Kingston 20. Charged is Romaine Morris, a construction worker of Greenvale district, Mandeville, Manchester. The deceased has been identified as 28-year-old Jermone Thompson, also a construction worker, of Byndloss district,  St Catherine. Reports from the Hunts Bay police are that about 11:45 am, Thompson and Morris were involved in an altercation, during which Morris allegedly used a knife to stab Thompson. The police were alerted, and Thompson was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A court date for Morris is being finalised.
