Councillor-caretaker joins fashion week push to raise diabetes awareness

With November being observed as National Diabetes Month, councillor-caretaker for the Ocho Rios Division, Nicola Hamilton, has thrown her weight behind efforts to raise awareness of the chronic health condition. Hamilton, who has lived with diabetes for more than 20 years, will strut her stuff on stage during the inaugural staging of Jamaica International Fashion Week (JIFW), from November 19 to 22 at Island Village in Ocho Rios, as part of efforts to increase awareness of the disease.
