Curren$y & Harry Fraud Turn Shared Interests Into Off To The Races

Curren$y and Harry Fraud released Off To The Races today (November 6,) with the producer explaining how their daily conversations turn into records after more than a decade of working together.

The 10-track project arrives through Jet Life. It follows the latest video for “Duffle 2 The Dealership,” which features Curren$y’s Mercedes vehicles, according to the release announcement.

Harry Fraud said in a statement that “our creative process is pretty much second nature.”

Fraud said their interests outside music help guide his production. They trade references during the process, turning details from their conversations into parts of the beats and lyrics.

“At this stage in the game, our creative process is pretty much second nature. We will bounce ideas back and forth about what we’re doing in daily life, movies we’re watching, vintage video games we’re playing, sports memorabilia we’re collecting, etc. Through those conversations, I’ll begin to build backdrops that reflect those ideas. We will send each other screenshots, timestamps, songs and sayings that we feel like fit the current body of work. These become easter eggs that materialize throughout the music in various ways, such as a sound bite or a line in a song. Before we know it, we step back, and the album has made itself,” he said.

That ease dates back to Cigarette Boats in 2012. Recalling their first session in a 2025 SPIN interview, Curren$y said the project came together in a single day. It was also their first time meeting. The response gave the pair an early sign of what their partnership could produce.

“The acclaim we received from that project was crazy, and we did all that in one day,” Curren$y said.

By the time of that interview, he had a short description of how they worked: “We’re on autopilot at this point.”

The partnership also produced The Stage and The Marina before their 2020 project The OutRunners. That nine-track release brought in Wiz Khalifa, Rick Ross, Conway The Machine and Jim Jones.

Curren$y described a personal side to that earlier collaboration when it arrived in 2020.

“Even those who have known me forever will find out things they didn’t know with The OutRunners. As long as I’ve been surviving out here, I realize we’ve got so much growing to do,” he said at the time.

Curren$y’s other 2026 projects include Spiral Staircases with Larry June and The Alchemist. Fraud also produced the second disc of Curren$y’s Wiz Khalifa collaboration, Roofless Records For Drop Tops.

Wiz returns on the Off To The Races tracklist for “Night Vision.” Rome Streetz joins “The Telethon,” while Fendi P and Bruiser Wolf appear on “Go So Fast.” The album is due November 6.
