DaBaby & DaniLeigh Settle Custody And Child Support Fight

DaBaby and DaniLeigh reached a settlement over custody and child support for their daughter, putting their parenting dispute into a signed agreement after a court fight that began in 2024.

TMZ reported that the former couple signed a 13-page deal covering their 5-year-old daughter, Velour. DaBaby agreed to pay monthly child support. The report did not disclose the amount, and it also did not specify how the parents would divide custody.

DaniLeigh started the paternity case in 2024. In her petition, she described herself as their daughter’s primary caregiver and asked for monthly support.

DaBaby said he had been close to Velour and involved in her life since birth. He asked the court to establish him as her legal father, set support and grant joint custody.

Their split had been public long before the paternity case. In November 2021, an argument between the two played out on Instagram Live while their daughter was still an infant.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police responded to two calls involving the pair that month. WBTV reported that DaBaby told officers DaniLeigh had assaulted him. Police said they charged her with two counts of simple assault after investigating the two separate incidents.

By May 2022, DaniLeigh was discussing co-parenting with Angie Martinez in her 23-minute “My Side #NoFilter” interview.

Asked whether DaBaby had apologized, she said, “No. He’s just like that though.”
