Diddy’s Representative Calls NBC Prison Coverage “Odd” After Solitary Report

Diddy has his crisis manager questioning how NBC obtained prison footage after claims of paid massages and banned phones landed him back in solitary.

Juda Engelmayer told Deadline that attention should extend to whoever records and leaks material from Fort Dix rather than center so heavily on Diddy.

His full statement questions how information escapes the prison without directly addressing the claims about phones, liquor or paid inmate services.

“There is something odd about all of this. Someone was apparently able to record Sean inside the prison, and numerous stories continue to emerge from inside the facility in real time,” Engelmayer told Deadline.

“Yet the focus inevitably lands on the celebrity because he is the person everyone recognizes. There are legitimate questions about how recordings and information are making their way out of a federal prison in the first place. Focusing almost exclusively on the famous inmate may make the easiest headline, but it overlooks the broader question of how this material is being obtained and circulated.”

NBC interviewed four men who spent time near Diddy and obtained footage that appeared to show him using a banned phone.

The sources alleged he paid inmates thousands each month for massages, laundry, cleaning his toilet and preparing meals such as pizza.

NBC also reported allegations involving premium liquor, the antidepressant Remeron and a modified tablet used to watch films and television.

Its reporting further alleged that Diddy used a phone to browse Instagram and view explicit photos sent by a former girlfriend. AllHipHop previously reported his return to solitary after TMZ said officials moved him into restricted housing while investigating the allegations.

The Bureau of Prisons declined to publicly discuss Diddy’s individual circumstances.

Diddy is serving a 50-month sentence after jurors convicted him in July 2025 of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.

The same jury acquitted him of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking, with his lawyers now challenging his convictions through an appeal.

He previously entered solitary following a reported July prison fight before returning to the general population on Aug. 12, 2026.

AllHipHop’s latest review of federal prison records places Diddy’s projected release date at Jan. 21, 2028.
