Digital Nas Says He Received No Royalties From Working With Ye

Digital Nas says working with Ye helped create massive records, but the producer now claims the relationship left him with zero royalties, no publishing and a financial situation so bleak that he is ready to walk away from music

Digital Nas jumped on Instagram Saturday and unloaded.

He went berserk in a series of since-deleted posts about his relationship with Ye and YZY. According to Nas, all that time spent helping Ye create music for projects like Donda, Donda 2, Vultures 1 and Vultures 2 has given him nada as far as moolah is concerned. It has NOT translated into the kind of financial compensation he expected.

D-Nas claimed his YZY deal resulted in “0 royalties” and no publishing, even though he worked on “Hurricane” and the chart topping “Carnival.” He also said his financial circumstances have gotten to the point where cannot take care of his fam. That is a shame.

“Carnival” became a No. 1 record and Digital Nas blasted music industry cats after his involvement in the record was questioned. Also, the paperwork was not completely worked out.

Now the problem runs much deeper than a credit. He can’t reach Ye.

“I know I’m like an annoying little brother but call my phone big bro I really gotta talk to you about sum real life stuff I’m going thru. I hit everybody at @yzy and no one will put me in touch with you so I feel like this is the only way”

He desperately wants a conversation. Not smoke.

More than 10 producers who worked on the Vultures albums reportedly did not have signed agreements with Ye, creating problems with collecting fees, royalties and publishing income. And then something happened.

After putting everything on Front Street, Digital Nas abruptly changed course. “Should’ve kept this private. I was impatient. I was getting no responses”. Yeah ok.

There is a good side to this.

“It’s getting handled now.”

UH OH!

Did somebody finally call Digital Nas? I bet they did!

The man says he cannot get anybody from YZY to respond. He goes public. The Internet starts talking. Suddenly, the situation is “getting handled.” YEP.

Papoose said the only way to get respect is disrespect.

ILLSEED OUT!
