Don Lemon fell out of his chair and rolled on the ground laughing at a car-crash joke aimed at Bhad Bhabie.
The journalist posted a 19-second clip on October 12 built around the rapper’s exchange with streamers at the scene of Le Vaughn’s car crash.
The split-screen pairs Lemon’s reaction with footage of Bhabie, who later said she had arrived after the wreck.
The joke changes her old “Cash me outside” catchphrase into “Crash me outside.”
Bhabie questions the timing of the remark, then challenges the people filming about how they earn a living.
The exchange ends with her boasting about making a million dollars.
The original footage is part of LordHito’s Kick broadcast. It shows Bhabie wearing a white outfit and a leopard-print headscarf, holding up her phone while standing in front of a white Bentley.
Her response later that day gave her account of how the roadside argument began.
Bhabie said her godmother woke her at 5:30 a.m. with news that Le Vaughn had been in a serious accident.
She denied being inside his vehicle and said she went to the scene to see him. Once streamers recognized her, she said, they tried to provoke her and got the reaction they wanted.
She called Le Vaughn her fiancé and said cops arrested him after mistaking his slurred speech for intoxication.
She attributed the speech problem to him hitting his head.
In a second post, she said another driver hit him and rejected claims that she had been driving or that either of them was intoxicated.
TMZ reported that LAPD was still investigating the collision.
The phrase behind the joke dates to her September 2016 appearance on Dr. Phil. Bhabie, born Danielle Bregoli, was 13 when she challenged audience members who were jeering at her.
The moment spread online and made her known as the “Cash Me Outside” girl.
She had already voiced frustration with that label years before this roadside encounter.
In a February 2018 interview, she acknowledged that the attention had helped her, while objecting to how firmly people tied her to the moment.
“Like yes, I’m grateful for it, but I think it’s something that like people are holding a little too tight to,” she told PopCrush.
