Drake and Don Toliver have released an official standalone video for “Solar Eclipse” after introducing the collaboration through Drake’s FOMO film.
“Solar Eclipse” first appeared inside FOMO, then moved to streaming services on October 2 as part of the expanded HABIBTI (FOMO) edition. The set includes 24 songs and runs for one hour and 17 minutes.
Don Toliver appears on “Solar Eclipse” and another addition, “Cold Shoulder.” Yebba also joins Drake and Toliver on “Cold Shoulder.” Both songs received standalone visuals after appearing in the longer film.
The rollout turns FOMO into more than a one-night video event. Drake used the film to preview music, then separated key moments into individual tracks and videos that listeners could find without replaying the full project.
“Solar Eclipse” also reworks Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas,” a country hit that spent an extended run at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The Drake and Toliver version recasts that recognizable record as a Hip-Hop release rather than an unrelated title.
The expanded album added four tracks: “Solar Eclipse,” “Quebec,” “Classic PT2” and “Cold Shoulder.” That update followed the September premiere of the FOMO film and continued Drake’s heavy 2026 release schedule.
For Drake, the video extends HABIBTI without asking the audience to treat the added songs as a completely separate album.
The short film, streaming update and individual uploads now function as three stages of the same campaign. That sequencing gives each new song a second chance to reach viewers after the longer film’s premiere.
