Drake climbed 114 spots on the Billboard 200 as streams drove HABIBTI back to No. 2, while Mac Miller joined him in the top 10, boosted by album sales.
The two comebacks show two ways expanded albums can climb the chart. Drake drew most of his units from streams, while purchases made up more than half of Miller’s total.
Billboard reported the new results on October 11, based on the U.S. tracking week ending October 8. HABIBTI rose from No. 116 with 71,000 album-equivalent units, nearly 70,000 of them from streams. Its weekly total grew 506%.
Miller’s The Divine Feminine moved from No. 159 to No. 10 with 32,000 units, up 218%. Album sales totaled 18,000 copies, and streams supplied another 14,000 units.
Drake’s HABIBTI (FOMO) expansion arrived October 2 through OVO and Republic Records, adding “Solar Eclipse,” “Quebec,” “Cold Shoulder” and “Classic PT2” to the album.
Don Toliver appears on two of those new songs, while Yebba joins “Cold Shoulder.” Drake and Toliver also teamed up for the official “Solar Eclipse” music video.
Drake had already reached No. 2 with the first version of HABIBTI. When he dropped three albums together in May, the project opened with 114,000 units, between Iceman at No. 1 and Maid Of Honour at No. 3.
Miller’s return reaches back a full decade. His 13-track anniversary edition adds “Grand,” “Channel 13” and “Butterflies” to the 2016 album, which mixed his raps and singing with a guest list drawn from Hip-Hop and R&B.
Anderson .Paak joins “Dang!,” Ariana Grande appears on “My Favorite Part” and Kendrick Lamar closes the original track list with “God Is Fair, Sexy Nasty.” Those songs now sit alongside three tracks that fans couldn’t hear on the first release.
For fans who want the music on wax, Warner’s three-record set puts the bonus songs on Side E and an etching on Side F. The label describes the additions as previously unreleased tracks from the album’s sessions.
The original Divine Feminine debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in 2016 and topped the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
The full Billboard 200 chart dated October 17 will be released October 13.
