Eminem’s Ex Kim Mathers Thrown In Jail For Blowing Off Court Hearings & Violating Alcohol Monitor

Kim Mathers was tossed back in jail on Wednesday after a Michigan judge decided she’d violated her bond conditions one too many times.

Judge William Hackel III revoked her release in connection with three separate DUI cases, finding that she’d abandoned court-ordered inpatient treatment without permission, according to ClickOnDetroit.

The 51-year-old Chesterfield resident now sits in Macomb County Jail awaiting her next hearing on October 14.

The situation escalated when Mathers’ attorney, Camilla Barkovic, claimed a magistrate had agreed to modify her client’s release terms and allow her to leave the treatment facility.

Hackel wasn’t having it.

He made clear that only a circuit judge possessed the authority to reverse bond conditions, and that Barkovic should’ve pursued a formal hearing instead of shopping around for a sympathetic magistrate.

The judge’s frustration was evident as he told Mathers directly, “You can’t just disappear and then wait a half a month or a month to come in and go ‘yeah now I want to address bond.'”

Mathers’ latest legal issues started back in February when she allegedly hit a parked car while impaired, with her son and his friends inside the vehicle.

Her breathalyzer registered .204 BAC, nearly three times Michigan’s legal limit.

Three months later in May, she got arrested again after crashing into another parked vehicle near Detroit. She also faces an OWI charge out of Chesterfield Township, making it three cases total.

The pattern of violations kept mounting.

Prosecutors documented that Mathers violated her alcohol monitor four times since her last court appearance and failed to show up for three separate hearings before finally turning herself in during June.

In August, prosecutors requested she be held in county jail for repeatedly breaching her bond conditions.

Hackel agreed and revoked her bond at that time, but offered her a lifeline: she could be released if she entered an inpatient treatment facility.

She did check in, but then left without authorization, which should’ve triggered a bench warrant that was never executed.

Mathers could face up to seven years in prison across all charges combined.
