Eminem Taps Wu-Tang Clan To Headline Lions Thanksgiving Show

Wu-Tang Clan will headline the Detroit Lions’ Thanksgiving halftime show, putting the rap group on the holiday stage with Eminem and Paul Rosenberg behind the booking.

The Lions announced the booking Sunday for November 26 at Ford Field in Detroit. The team hosts the Chicago Bears for its 87th Thanksgiving Day Classic. CBS will air the game at 1 P.M. EST, and Antonio Cipriano will sing the national anthem.

“We often like to do things that are both exciting and unexpected. A Wu-Tang Clan Thanksgiving performance in Detroit certainly fits that description!” Rosenberg said in the team announcement.

Eminem and Rosenberg, his longtime manager and Shady Records president, are the show’s executive producers. This is the second year of their multiyear partnership with the Lions.

The pair’s job goes beyond lending their names to the event. Under the agreement announced last year, they help book the artists and shape the show’s creative direction. Jesse Collins Entertainment handles production.

“It’s an honor for us to team up with the Lions and be a part of the greatest tradition in Detroit sports,” Rosenberg said when the partnership was announced in 2025.

Last Thanksgiving, Eminem joined Jack White during the Lions’ game against the Green Bay Packers. White had opened the set before Eminem came out for “‘Till I Collapse.” The surprise appearance put the rapper in front of the Ford Field crowd as a performer, too.

Before the football date, Wu-Tang is set to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Los Angeles on November 14.

The ceremony is set for the Peacock Theater at 7 P.M. Wu-Tang was selected on its first nomination. The group joins a class that includes Phil Collins, Sade, Luther Vandross, Iron Maiden and Oasis.

The ceremony will debut on ABC and Disney+ in December.
