Nicki Minaj‘s $275,000 Jingle Ball dispute was put on hold as a New York judge set a hearing on her lawyers’ request to leave the case.
Judge Leslie A. Stroth scheduled the hearing for December 1, 2026, at 10 A.M. in Manhattan. AllHipHop obtained the order, signed October 27 and filed October 28.
The firm, Kurzman Eisenberg Corbin & Lever, represents Minaj and Pink Friday Productions LLC. Its request to leave is the issue Judge Stroth set for argument.
The order stated that “all proceedings in this matter are stayed” until the hearing.
Attorney Bruce W. Bieber asked to withdraw on October 23. He cited disputes over how to handle the lawsuit and problems communicating.
Bieber wrote that “the attorney-client relationship has irretrievably broken down such that continued representation is no longer feasible or appropriate.”
The case began in March, when 24/7 Productions (USA) Inc. sued over work tied to the December 2023 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball dates and Minaj’s New York promotion for Pink Friday 2.
24/7 said it advanced more than $255,000 for production expenses and sought $275,149.62, plus interest and court costs. Its complaint brought a contract claim against Pink Friday Productions and an unjust-enrichment claim against Minaj personally.
Hotel costs also became part of the fight. AllHipHop previously reported that 24/7 submitted a Langham New York bill totaling $103,730. It included a $9,500-a-night suite for seven nights and four other rooms. The company said it covered those charges.
Minaj’s defense disputed the debt. In a July 31 filing, her team said the costs had been approved and Pink Friday Productions had already paid the bills. Her lawyers also argued that owning the company did not make Minaj personally responsible for its debts.
Judge Stroth’s new order also laid out how a change of lawyers would work if the firm is allowed to leave.
“ORDERED, that if Kurzman Eisenberg Corbin & Lever, LLP is relieved as counsel, the stay shall continue for thirty (30) days from service of the entered order with notice of entry, or for such other period as the Court directs, to permit Defendants to retain substitute counsel.”
Answering papers are due November 12, with replies due November 23. The December 1 hearing is set for IAS Part 12 at 60 Centre Street.
