EXCLUSIVE: Yella Beezy Asks Judge To Delay Upcoming Trial After Mo3 Assassin Convicted

Yella Beezy wants his September 14 murder trial delayed after the man convicted of killing Mo3 received life with no chance of release.

AllHipHop.com exclusively reports that his lawyers are making the request just days after Kewon White’s trial ended with a guilty verdict.

The defense wants the written record from White’s trial and needs an expert available when Yella Beezy presents his case.

That expert, Julianna Moore, spent 18 years working with federal courts and understands the benefits witnesses may receive for helping prosecutors.

“Moore isn’t available to testify during the week of September 21, 2026 because of a preplanned event,” Yella Beezy’s lawyer Toby Shook explained.

“The White trial took two full weeks from the start…to sentencing,” Shook continued. “Thus, [Yella Beezy’s] attorneys expect to present his defense during the week of September 21, the week that Moore isn’t available.”

The defense also says ten days is not enough time to prepare after White’s trial, especially with only five working days available.

Yella Beezy was accused in March 2025 of hiring White to murder a Dallas rap rival. Melvin Noble, known as Mo3, was chased and shot on Interstate 35E in Dallas on November 11, 2020.

Kewon White denied the charge but was convicted after jurors deliberated for three hours. White received life with no chance of release because prosecutors chose not to ask for a death sentence.

The verdict matters because jurors accepted the state’s claim that Kewon White killed Mo3 for money promised by Yella Beezy.

However, that finding does not prove Yella Beezy’s guilt because another jury must review the case against him from scratch.

During Kewon White’s eight-day trial, prosecutors used highway video, phone records, witness accounts, rap lyrics and financial records to build their case.

A detective testified about a $40,000 withdrawal linked to Yella Beezy. White’s lawyers argued the state may have proved he killed Mo3 but failed to prove anyone paid him.

That same dispute will drive Yella Beezy’s trial because prosecutors accuse him of arranging and funding the highway attack.

The witness lists are nearly identical, suggesting Yella Beezy’s jury may hear much of the same evidence.

“The Amended State’s Witness List in Conway’s case contains 264 witnesses,” Shook revealed. “The Amended State’s Witness List in White’s case contains 263 witnesses.”

Prosecutors may call Kewon White during Yella Beezy’s trial and question him about the alleged payment. His name on the list does not guarantee he will testify, help prosecutors or receive anything in return.

The transcripts would help Yella Beezy’s lawyers compare each witness’s new account with what the same person previously told jurors. If those stories change, the defense could show both versions and ask the new jury which account deserves belief.

Moore would also explain how witnesses in related federal drug cases might benefit by giving information against Kewon White or Yella Beezy.

One such witness is Cedric Bradley, who told Kewon White’s jury that the convicted shooter admitted killing Mo3.

Earlier AllHipHop reporting detailed plans to use an alleged feud, songs and social media posts to suggest a reason for the killing.

Prosecutors said Kewon White followed Mo3 from an apartment, pursued him along the freeway and fired repeatedly as the rapper ran.

Investigators recovered 44 shell casings, while medical evidence showed Mo3 was shot 13 times and a passing driver was wounded.

“It was planned, premeditated, and based on the evidence that we had from the highway and the hospital, the shooter was intent on killing him,” Dallas police Detective Eric Barnes testified.

Kewon White’s conviction brought an emotional response from Mo3’s mother, Nichole Noble, who addressed him before he received his sentence.

“I love you. Maybe that’s what you needed to hear, and you were looking for love with people that don’t love you,” Noble said.

Yella Beezy has pleaded not guilty and denied taking part in Mo3’s killing through his defense team.

The filing lists no hearing date, leaving the September 14 trial in place unless the judge approves the request.
