Female MC Savagely Rips Ice Spice, Megan Thee Stallion, GloRilla, Sexyy Red, Yung Miami & More

Well, things really got interesting. I never heard of Era Swan before today. This lone lioness just tossed a grenade into female Hip-Hop, and Nicki Minaj apparently has been summoned to clean up the aftermath. Hmmmmmmmm….

Who is Era Swan?

A lot of people are asking that right now. Believe it or not, the independent rapper has been working for years. But this fiery freestyle on “The TakeOver Files” suddenly has people paying much closer attention. And, oh boy, she went all the way in.

During the nearly four minute performance, Swan fired shots at Ice Spice, Megan Thee Stallion, Latto, GloRilla, Sexyy Red, Yung Miami and JT. Basically, she walked into the women’s division and started flipping tables. Literally.

What is odd is, it seems like she’s propositioning Nicki Minaj.

It’s called “Message to the Queen” and Swan directs her attention toward Nicki Minaj. Instead of dissing Nicki, she essentially called for the MAGA superstar to rescue female Rap. Even though she is spitting fire, this is odd.

Female Hip-Hop is commercially crowded with big personalities. Megan, GloRilla, Latto, Sexyy Red, JT, Yung Miami and Ice Spice occupy very different spaces, even if social media frequently throws them into the same lane. Nicki remains one of the biggest figures of the modern era. OK.

So what exactly does Era Swan want Nicki to save?

That’s the question. There’s also Rapsody and others we do not have to name in this moment. There is also another possibility. Maybe Swan understands the oldest rule in Rap promotion. If nobody knows your name, diss people folks know. Oldest trick in the book.

Calling out one successful rapper can create a moment. Calling out practically everybody creates an event. I mean, this is not an event yet. I think it may be. I am not certain invoking Nicki Minaj’s name in this moment will work. She also called on the Barbz.

All of that is water under a pretty small bridge. Either way, people are saying her name now.

Mission accomplished?

I ain’t mad. She really did not call out anybody that will respond. Even Nicki is in the cut with Donald Trump.
