Fetty Wap Reportedly Got Married In New Jersey

Fetty Wap apparently had a strict guest list for his wedding, but somebody’s phone apparently made the cut.
The New Jersey rapper married Alexis Hill on Thursday, Nov. 5, according to an exclusive report from The Shade Room. The couple reportedly celebrated at the Legacy Castle in New Jersey with approximately 90 to 100 guests. Just months after their July engagement, they have made things official.
Now, about those phones. Sources told the outlet that guests’ devices were secured during the ceremony. I understand the appeal. Sometimes you want people watching you exchange vows, not selling the footage to TMZ.
But a little footage still reached the outside world. The Shade Room reported reviewing a video of Fetty performing “679” for his bride while she danced in a white strapless wedding gown and his large diamond chain. Alexis then moved in for a hug.
Must be nice. Performing your own hit at your wedding is a flex. Most grooms have to submit a request to the DJ or hire talent. And Alexis wearing the chain? That sounds like the jewelry equivalent of making herself at home.
In July, Alexis shared images and video featuring a large pink floral heart, tall candles and a rose petal aisle. She received pink roses along the way before reaching Fetty, who got down on one knee. She also showed her large square diamond engagement ring.
Clearly, somebody took the decorating budget seriously.
What catches my attention is the relatively small gathering. A recognizable Hip-Hop name, a castle venue and fewer than 100 or so guests sounds like a deliberate effort to keep the celebration close.
We don’t need to manufacture a scandal for every occasion. Sometimes the story is a rapper singing to his wife while she wears his chain.
Congratulations to Fetty and Alexis. Here’s hoping the marriage gets more privacy than the average celebrity relationship.
