Finesse2tymes Claims J. Prince Jr. Demands Nearly $1M To Set Him Free

Finesse2tymes says freedom from Mob Ties came with a staggering price as his bitter contract dispute with J. Prince Jr. entered another messy chapter.

The Memphis rapper alleged J. Prince Jr. wanted nearly $1 million and his royalties in exchange for releasing him from his recording agreement, adding another financial dispute to a battle that has played out publicly throughout 2026.

The latest claim has not been independently verified and the specific terms of any proposed buyout have not been made public.

Finesse2tymes has wanted out for months, possibly years.

The rapper publicly asked J. Prince Jr. to release him from Mob Ties at the beginning of 2026, saying the business relationship had run its course. He maintained love for Prince and people affiliated with Mob Ties while making it clear he wanted a fresh start.

Finesse2tymes also claimed his four years with the company had failed to produce the financial results he expected.

Finesse2tymes later scrutinized his contract and publicly complained about the 360 arrangement. He claimed the agreement allowed affiliated companies to participate in several areas of his career while expenses and advances had to be recouped before royalties reached him.

The rapper also leveled separate financial allegations involving his former manager Brandon Mims in a rant. Finesse2tymes accused Mims of mishandling money connected to his career, including funds from a publishing agreement. Those allegations remain claims made by Finesse2tymes and have not been established as fact.

His dissatisfaction with Mob Ties predates the latest accusations.

Earlier in the year, Finesse2tymes complained about paying for music videos and encountering difficulties releasing music. By May, his frustration reached the point where he publicly sought assistance buying his way out of the situation.

The relationship between Finesse2tymes and Mob Ties stretches back to 2022, when the rapper’s career surged following his release from federal prison. His comeback included “Back End,” collaborations with Moneybagg Yo, Gucci Mane and other artists and the release of “90 Days.”

Finesse2tymes complaints are far ranging, from who controls his career to where the money goes and feeding his family.
