Firearm seized in East Kings House Road operation

KINGSTON, Jamaica—A firearm was seized during an operation by lawmen assigned to the Matilda’s Corner Police Station following an operation in the East Kings House Road community on Wednesday, September 30.
Reports are that about 11:15 am, a police team conducted a targeted operation at a premises in the community in connection with a report of threats and malicious destruction of property.
On reaching a section of the property, the police reportedly saw a man fleeing the premises and escaped over a wall. The area was searched, resulting in the seizure of a Taurus 9mm pistol fitted with a magazine containing six rounds of ammunition.
No one was arrested in relation to the seizure.
The investigation is ongoing.
