TEVIN Foster continued his rich vein of form with a four-timer on Saturday’s 10-race card at Caymanas Park, highlighted by Pepper Stepper’s (USA) dominant win in the $1.4- million Pinktober Trophy feature. Foster, who replaced Robert Halledeen aboard the Jason DaCosta trainee, made all over six and a half furlongs (1,300m) in the Open Allowance contest to win by five and a half lengths in 1:19.0, making it three wins on the trot for the in form sprinter. Pepper Stepper, racing beyond five and a half furlongs for the first time in eight career starts, shot to the front at the off and led Rainsville (Raddesh Roman), Boss Man (Tajay Suckoo) and Supremasi (Jaheim Anderson) down the backstretch. He injected pace at the halfmile turn and left rivals toiling before cruising home ahead of Supremasi and Blue Vinyl (Emelio McLean). The splits were 23.1, 46.3 and 1:12.3. Foster’s other winners were Slam Sharp in the third race for trainer Michael Marlowe, Modern Monarch in the fifth race for trainer Carl Anderson, and Ability for trainer Lawrence Freemantle in the 10th and final event. Also sharing in the spotlight was jockey Jaheim Anderson who rode three winners. He won aboard Life is Life in the second race for trainer Gary Griffiths, got a chance ride aboard Hit N Run in the fourth race for trainer Joseph Thomas, and Lingusit in the I’m satified Trophy for trainer Anthony Nunes. Racing continues on Saturday. – Ruddy Allen
