Celebration filled the Courtyard by Marriott in New Kingston on Monday, October 19, as friends, government officials, and well-wishers gathered over lunch to honour the late Kenneth Loshusan, founder of Loshusan Supermarket, who was posthumously conferred with the Order of Distinction in the rank of Commander during the 2026 Ceremony of Investiture and Presentation of National Honours and Awards at King’s House earlier that morning.
Tributes flowed from Minister of Justice Delroy Chuck, GraceKennedy CEO Frank James, Member of Parliament Julian Robinson and long-time family friend, attorney-at-law Warrington Williams.
Before lunch was served, Loshusan Supermarket CEO Bruce Loshusan thanked the gathering for supporting his father and helping to build the Loshusan heritage.
“We’re so proud of him. And all of you in this room, in some way, shape, or another, have helped him and somehow helped us build on his legacy,” Loshusan said.
