Heiress Harris sang the national anthem at Atlanta’s State Farm Arena on October 29, adding a WNBA Finals appearance to a music career she began well before her 10th birthday.
The youngest daughter of T.I. and Tiny Harris wore a blue jacket covered in glitter for her performance before Game 6. The appearance put Heiress on the microphone during a series that had already featured her father.
WSB-TV sports reporter Alison Mastrangelo shared her praise for Heiress in a post reproduced by The Big Lead. She called the singer incredible and said she was talented.
T.I. had performed with Quavo during the Game 3 halftime show. His song “Let ‘Em Know” also played in the Atlanta Dream’s video before player introductions, according to USA TODAY.
Heiress had already shared a major Atlanta stage with her dad when she was 7. At his 20th-anniversary celebration of Trap Muzik, she took Rihanna’s part on “Live Your Life” while T.I. handled his verses.
That December 28, 2023 show took place at Atlanta Symphony Hall, with the Atlanta Pops Orchestra backing the rapper. Heiress sang the hook and danced as her father rapped. Tiny watched from the front row and cheered her daughter on at the end of the song.
The same holiday week marked an early step in Heiress’ recording career. She released her first single, “What Does Christmas Mean To You,” on Christmas Day in 2023. She also sang the national anthem at an Alabama State-USC game that week.
Her work has since included acting. Apple TV’s credits list guest appearances on “Grosse Pointe Garden Society,” including the first-season episodes “Plant Parenthood,” “Germination” and “The Cup.”
“I want to either be in a global girl group or I want to be a soloist,” she told CBS News Atlanta.
Another anthem booking is on her calendar. Tuskegee University announced that Heiress would sing at its November 7 homecoming at Cleve Abbott Memorial Stadium. T.I. was also named grand marshal of the homecoming parade, with a halftime performance alongside the university’s Marching Crimson Pipers planned. The school said T.I. had featured the band in a music video earlier this year.
