Hit-Boy Turns Roblox Players Into Remix Rivals In “Beat Battle”

Hit-Boy is bringing his music to Roblox’s Beat Battle, letting fans build beats with his vocals and go head-to-head with other players.
The month-long season lets players pull apart 10 tracks from his album HITStory 2: Success is a Dirty Word. The game’s first artist collaboration offers drums, bass, synths and vocals for remixing.
The competition puts players on the clock. Battles use changing vocal clips that run 25 seconds.
Players present their mixes, vote and earn Season Tickets, which unlock Hit-Boy beat packs, clothes and DJ decks. Some packs can be earned through play, while players can also buy music and merchandise in the game, the report said.
Those tools have a limit: Roblox won’t let players export raw audio or separate vocal stems.
The official Beat Battle page lists the Hit-Boy season as live. Overtune, the game’s developer, describes a setup where players can remix loops or make their own music with a piano roll.
Friends can battle onstage and vote on performances. Players can also unlock stages and effects, grow their music collections and share tracks with friends. The game puts making music, performing it and judging other players’ work in the same space.
HarbourView Equity Partners put the collaboration together with Roblox, Overtune and the producer’s team.
That adds a gaming project to a business relationship announced in November 2025.
HarbourView’s announcement said the firm would work with Hit-Boy on future titles he wrote. Its announcement described the agreement as exclusive and said the relationship had begun that summer.
The firm invests in music and other entertainment businesses.
The partnership followed his exit from an 18-year publishing deal with Universal Music Publishing Group.
AllHipHop previously reported that he signed the agreement at 19 and thanked JAY-Z and Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez for helping him get out. He marked that break with the song “What’s The Deal?”
When HarbourView announced their partnership, Hit-Boy laid out what he wanted from his next business moves.
“This next chapter of my career is about ownership, being innovative and my creative freedom,” he said.
