IMMA calls on Jamaica’s high school students to step into the spotlight
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Immaculate Modelling Agency (IMMA) is calling on male and female students from high schools across Jamaica to enter the Mr & Miss Jamaica High School Pageant, an initiative it says is designed to develop the talents, confidence, character and leadership potential of the nation's youth. Organisers say the agency, founded by Paul Abrahams in 2006, was born from a desire to make a meaningful and positive impact on the lives of high school students as they navigate adolescence and prepare for adulthood. While the programme will culminate in the crowning of a Mr and Miss Jamaica High School, IMMA emphasises that the initiative goes far beyond the traditional pageant experience. Under the theme "Crowning Character, Championing Change," the programme seeks to use modelling and pageantry as a vehicle for personal development, education, mentorship and social transformation. IMMA plans to engage approximately 200-300 high school students through its development programme, with participating students exposed to an intensive eight-week series of workshops and developmental activities. The programme is designed to provide students with self-analysis coaching and directional training, self-esteem enhancement coaching, education on specific gender issues, social and personal etiquette coaching, and leadership development, among other opportunities. IMMA shared that the runway can become an extension of the classroom, a place where young people learn not only how to present themselves, but also how to communicate effectively, make responsible decisions, understand their value and prepare for the realities of adulthood. IMMA is inviting high school students from every parish to take advantage of the opportunity to participate in the Mr & Miss Jamaica High School programme. Interested students can apply by contacting Paul Abrahams, founder, Immaculate Modelling Agency (IMMA), at +1 (876) 792-5900. Applications are now open, and the deadline for submission is October 10, 2026.
