Ye‘s Jakarta concert generated an estimated $25 million in economic activity, according to Governor Pramono Anung.
The governor shared that estimate Monday, October 26, following the rapper’s Saturday performance at Gelora B### Karno Main Stadium.
The official report also put ticket sales at about $18 million, while Pramono said hotels, shops, transport and tourism benefited.
That account offered no detailed breakdown of how officials arrived at the broader estimate of the concert’s economic impact.
Before the show, promoter Raw Vision Collective said 20,500 people outside Indonesia had bought tickets, according to Indonesia Expat.
Karen Tjahja, who led marketing and communications for the promoter, gave that sales update at an October 22 press conference. Among buyers abroad, Australia ranked first, with Singapore and Malaysia following it in the promoter’s count of international ticket sales.
Those figures captured purchases ahead of the concert, leaving them separate from a final tally of fans inside the stadium.
Tjahja said other events that week had made flights harder to find, prompting the promoter to arrange extra charter services.
Tjahja said the overseas sales could mark a new high for international visitors at an Indonesian solo concert.
The concert had offered fans a hotel option from the start, with packages advertised when tickets went on sale in July.
AllHipHop’s earlier coverage described the October 24 booking as the only Southeast Asian date on Ye’s 2026 tour schedule.
Organizers then expected as many as 77,000 people, a pre-show projection that didn’t indicate how many ultimately attended Saturday.
The stop also returned him to a region where he had played Singapore Indoor Stadium in 2008 and SingFest in 2010.
The tour also featured The Globe Stage, a 360-degree production designed to put fans around the performance and inside the experience.
MRT Jakarta’s Mega Tarigan, its director of operations and maintenance, announced the transit changes Friday, October 23.
MRT Jakarta also announced longer train hours for fans and the public, extending service until 1:30 a.m. Sunday, October 25.
