Jamie Foxx, 58, said he planned to find a home in Australia while discussing his future with girlfriend Alyce Huckstepp during an appearance at the Melbourne Cup on Tuesday, November 3.
“Of course, I’m moving. I’ma find a place,” Foxx told the Daily Mail in an exclusive interview.
The actor spoke inside the Don Julio Hacienda marquee at Flemington Racecourse, where he also shared a surprise he had arranged for his Australian partner, who is from Queensland. Foxx said he planned to bring her relatives in for the occasion.
“My girl is from Australia, and I’m bringing her whole family here as a surprise,” he said after their relationship had a public break along the way.
Multiple sources told People in January 2025 that Foxx and Huckstepp had separated after dating for about a year and a half. They were first publicly linked in August 2023, when they joined a group at Nobu in Malibu.
Huckstepp had also supported Foxx at work, visiting the set of a BetMGM commercial in July 2024, according to the magazine’s reporting.
They later reunited, and Foxx described her as his girlfriend at Flemington. Their relationship has also prompted questions about expanding their family.
AllHipHop reported on pregnancy claims in May, while noting that neither Foxx, Huckstepp nor their representatives had publicly confirmed the news at that point.
Australia is also where Foxx is working on a film. He is filming the action thriller “Deadlocked” in Victoria for Amazon MGM Studios, giving his time in Melbourne a work connection alongside the personal one.
The production is using Melbourne’s central business district, Docklands and Port Melbourne to recreate New York.
Foxx plays a former Marine who is grieving and serving on a jury when a defendant’s daughter takes control of the courthouse in an attempt to free her father. His character is forced into action during the takeover.
Nikhil Bhat is directing the film, with Sasha Calle, KiKi Layne and Luke Hemsworth joining Foxx in the cast. Foxx is also producing through Foxxhole Productions. His daughter Corinne Foxx is an executive producer, putting another family connection behind his current Australian project.
