Judge Orders Mally Mall Back To Slammer Over Supervised Release Violations

Mally Mall is heading back to federal prison after a federal judge in Las Vegas ordered him to serve 17 months for violating the terms of his supervised release.

The multi-platinum producer admitted to five separate violations during Thursday’s revocation hearing, including failing a drug test, witness tampering, and concealing a secret room inside his Las Vegas residence from probation officers.

The sentence marks his second stint behind bars following his 2019 guilty plea to operating a high-end prostitution business disguised as escort services between 2002 and 2014.

He’d already completed thirty-three months in federal prison for that conviction and was released under federal supervision.

This time, according to News 3 Las Vegas, he’ll receive about three months of credit for time already served toward his new sentence.

His attorney Jack Buchanan emphasized that the current violations don’t involve allegations of sex trafficking, distinguishing this case from the original charges.

“There is nothing within the allegations that he was continuing to sex traffic whatsoever,” Buchanan told reporters after the hearing.

Before his legal troubles, Mally Mall built an impressive career as a Grammy-winning producer working with Drake, Chris Brown, Usher, Snoop Dogg, Lupe Fiasco, Tyga, XXXTentacion, NBA YoungBoy, Justin Bieber, and Rae Sremmurd.

He appeared on VH1’s “Love and Hip Hop” and released hit singles including “Molly” featuring Tyga and Wiz Khalifa, “Drop Bands On It,” and “Where You At” with French Montana and 2 Chainz.

His production career spanned over two decades across Hip-Hop, R&B, and pop music.

When his supervised release expires after serving this new sentence, he will not have an additional probation period.
