Kelly Rowland left the guest list to Jay-Z when asked whether Destiny’s Child would join his Super Bowl halftime show.
The singer faced the reunion question at the Airbnb.org Gala in Hollywood on October 28, with Jay’s SoFi Stadium booking already drawing attention.
“That’s none of my business,” Rowland told PEOPLE. “That’s his performance. That’s none of my business.”
Her answer offered no guest announcement, and neither Beyoncé nor Michelle Williams was named as part of a halftime reunion in those remarks.
Jay’s move to the halftime stage follows years of behind-the-scenes work through Roc Nation’s partnership with the NFL, which began in 2019.
AllHipHop previously covered his confirmed booking, which puts him in the lead role after his work on halftime sets headlined by other artists.
The same stadium hosted his October 23 and 24 anniversary concerts, where he marked three decades since Reasonable Doubt and 25 years since The Blueprint.
Those shows also brought his music family together, with guests across the two nights including John Legend, Scarface, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg and DJ Khaled.
Destiny’s Child already has a recent stage reunion to look back on, even without a new Super Bowl appearance on the books.
Beyoncé brought Rowland and Williams into her final Cowboy Carter concert at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on July 26, 2025.
Their set included “Lose My Breath” and “Bootylicious,” while the night also featured appearances from Jay-Z and Shaboozey during Beyoncé’s tour finale.
It was the trio’s first public stage performance together since Beyoncé’s 2018 Coachella set, making the Las Vegas show a return after seven years.
Williams later said on Watch What Happens Live that the Las Vegas reunion came together quickly, unlike their more planned Coachella performance.
“This one was, ‘Y’all let’s do this,’ and we did,” Williams said, recalling how the three agreed to share that stage again.
The singers have also stayed close away from work, sharing a meal this year to mark Williams’ Grammy nomination for Death Becomes Her.
“We just shared a meal, but we laughed until we were crying,” Rowland said on All Access with Linsey Davis.
Jay-Z’s halftime show is set for February 14, 2027, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.
