Kid Cudi left Ye’s latest fashion show with no interest in reopening their old wounds.
The Cleveland rapper attended Yeezy Season 01 in Los Angeles on Wednesday night, joining a guest list that included Big Sean, 2 Chainz and designer Jerry Lorenzo.
When TMZ asked which part of the show stood out, Cudi answered, “Oh, everything.”
He also described Ye as his big brother and said he had been waiting to see Yeezy return to the runway.
The comments extend a reconciliation that became public in September. Cudi joined Ye at Soldier Field in Chicago, where the longtime collaborators performed together for the first time in years.
The reunion drew criticism because Ye had spent much of the previous year facing backlash over antisemitic statements and the song “Heil Hitler.”
Cudi did not retreat when radio host Peter Rosenberg challenged artists who were standing beside Ye.
“That man is my brother,” Cudi wrote at the time. “Damn near 2 decades of art and friendship.”
He added that Ye had apologized to him and said the apology felt sincere.
Their history stretches back to Cudi’s arrival at G.O.O.D. Music and includes the 2018 joint album Kids See Ghosts. It also includes several public breaks.
Their 2022 fallout centered on Cudi’s friendship with Pete Davidson while Davidson was dating Ye’s ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
Cudi later said in 2025 that he was finished with Ye after taking issue with comments about the late Virgil Abloh.
By this fall, the relationship had shifted again. The Chicago performance put them back onstage. Their appearance together at Wednesday’s show moved the reunion into Ye’s fashion world, where Cudi has also been a model and front-row presence over the years.
Yeezy Season 01 marked Ye’s first formal runway presentation since 2022.
All four of his children attended, along with Bianca Censori and several artists from his orbit. Models circled a large white structure at the new Yeezy flagship in Los Angeles as unreleased music played.
Cudi’s praise does not erase their past disputes, but it gives the reconciliation a clear public marker beyond the September concert.
He left the runway show talking about Ye as family, not a former collaborator.
