Lil Baby Plans Charity Shift Toward Jobs And Schools After Millions In Giveaways

Lil Baby plans to steer his nonprofit toward jobs and school support, telling Jaylen Brown he wants the millions he spends on Atlanta giveaways to have a lasting effect on young people.

In “The Last Ten,” released October 16 by Glass Window Productions, he said he told his team “this year is my last time doing that” while discussing his back-to-school and Christmas drives.

Lil Baby wants to work directly with schools and school boards, create “real jobs” and give young people places to go. He used $100,000 as an example of money that could change a system once he understood how it worked.

He wants young people to still point to the help 20 years later. Brown agreed, urging people with money and influence to change the systems that leave families in need.

His current giving includes the sixth annual Back to School Fest, which served 4,000 Atlanta students on July 25 at West End Production Park.

Lil Baby and The Jones Project provided free school supplies, clothing, uniforms, haircuts, food and gift cards, WSB-TV reported.

Families also had games and other activities, with support from partners including The Athlete’s Foot, Fanatics and Dr. Bombay.

At the festival, Lil Baby spent the day meeting children and parents. His earlier community work also includes fixing up basketball courts at Oakland City Park, donating shoes, bicycles and winter coats, and helping pay students’ college tuition.

Education has been part of that work for years. In March 2020, he announced a $150,000 endowed scholarship fund at Booker T. Washington High School, which he once attended. The “My Turn” awards were meant for students who showed excellence and leadership in class.

Atlanta Public Schools officials said the first scholarship went to a senior bound for Dartmouth College, where he planned to play football. The amount of that first award was not disclosed.

At the 2025 festival, Lil Baby explained that a lack of shoes and school supplies could steer children off track. He also spoke about sparing parents the stress of paying for those things.

He said he is already working on the new approach, but did not announce school partners or a launch date.
