Lloyd Accidentally Snatches Fan’s Wig During Detroit Concert

Lloyd gave Detroit an R&B show and a surprise wig snatch after one fan’s hair got hooked on his jacket.
The singer joined Keyshia Cole last week, for her “Love on the River” show at the Aretha Franklin Amphitheater.
The official bill named Cole as the main act and Lloyd as her guest for the 8 P.M. riverfront concert. Lloyd left the stage to greet people in the crowd, then made his way back while wearing a dark suit.
One woman’s wig caught on a button as he passed, turning a sweet fan moment into a fast hair rescue. Lloyd kept walking, and the wig went with him, almost as if it had joined his tour without telling its owner.
The clip shows the hairpiece slide off in one clean move, while Lloyd seems unaware that his coat has claimed a prize.
He posted the footage himself and cleared up the scene before anyone blamed him for a new meet-and-greet package.
“Her wig got caught on the button of my blazer, and when I walked away, it came with me !!!!!” he wrote.
It was the kind of freak mishap that no wig glue, backup pin or prayer circle saw coming that night.
The hair emergency was not Lloyd’s only fight with gravity during a show that gave the crowd far more than slow jams.
He also shared a clip of himself slipping in red-bottom shoes while trying to get back onto the stage.
“I think ima start wearing ihop kitchen non-slip shoes from now on, cuz these red bottoms are gonna be the death of me one day,” Lloyd wrote.
The fall brought back another rough night, like the one on November 21, 2025, when Lloyd performed in Birmingham, Alabama.
He lost his footing during “Girls Around the World” at BJCC Concert Hall, then grabbed the microphone and kept singing.
“Saw my life flash before my eyes tonight lol,” he wrote after that earlier fall.
Social media users turned the freak accident into an open-mic comedy session, posting reactions that ranged from sympathy to merciless wig jokes:
