“Love & Hip Hop” Brings Its Stars Back To Face The Past

“Love & Hip Hop: The Final Chapter” rolled out a trailer ahead of its November 10 premiere on VH1, BET and MTV.

The six-part series will start at 8 P.M. ET. New episodes will then air Tuesdays at 8 P.M. ET on VH1.

Stevie J, Joseline Hernandez, Mimi Faust and Yandy Smith are among those giving new interviews. Rasheeda Frost, Trick Daddy, Trina, Ray J, Safaree Samuels, Scrappy and Yung Joc will also take part. Angela Yee, Nina Parker and Jess Hilarious will add their views alongside the cast.

The series will draw from all four cities: New York, Atlanta, Hollywood and Miami. Cast members will share the floor with producers, executives and journalists to look at the show’s place in music and TV.

That look back was the plan when VH1 first announced the project in May.

Instead of a new season in one city, the network promised to trace how stars rose through the ranks. It would look at the businesses they built and the disputes that kept their names in the news.

The franchise began in 2011, putting artists’ work and their personal lives on the same screen. Cardi B was one of the artists whose careers became part of the show’s story. She is not named in the new interview lineup.

For Lashan Browning, who founded the show’s production company, Antoinette Media, the farewell also includes the behind-the-scenes crews.

Antoinette Media also produced the franchise’s Atlanta and Miami shows. In May, she thanked the cast for sharing their lives and the producers who helped shape each story. She credited her team for their work through the seasons, as well as the fans who stayed with them.

“The ‘Love & Hip Hop’ franchise has always been about the people,” Browning said then. “Their dedication is why this franchise resonated for so many years.”

VH1’s May plan went beyond the TV episodes, too. After the debut, BET’s digital platform, BET Immersed, was set to feature the series on a digital cover. More images and a look behind the scenes were part of that plan.
