San Francisco 49ers player Keion White finally got justice eight months after a bullet tore through his ankle at a San Francisco nightclub.
Authorities tracked down the suspect, Gregory Walker, 35, in Los Angeles and took him into custody Friday morning by the LAPD’s Gang and Narcotics Division.
Investigators connected him to the February shooting that left the defensive end hospitalized and requiring surgery.
Walker stands charged with felony assault using a deadly weapon and a semiautomatic rifle, according to jail records.
He’s being held without bail as the investigation continues into what started as a nightclub dispute involving rapper Lil Baby back in February.
The incident unfolded early on February 8 at Dahlia’s Lounge in San Francisco’s Mission District, where White was hosting a private Super Bowl party downstairs.
When Lil Baby’s crew attempted to enter the exclusive event, tensions escalated between the two groups.
A witness told police they heard two gunshots while seeking help from management upstairs, then rushed back to find White bleeding from a wound to his leg.
Police discovered 9mm and .45-caliber shell casings at the scene, an abandoned phone on the steps, and topless strippers still collecting dollar bills scattered across the floor when they arrived to investigate.
White initially refused to cooperate with detectives about who fired the shots. He underwent surgery to repair the damage and made a complete recovery.
The 2023 second-round pick, traded to San Francisco from New England in 2025, has since returned to full strength.
Walker’s arraignment date has not yet been announced.
